Bernhard Sommer takes over the management of Interflex
Effective April 1, 2019, the management of SimonsVoss Technologies GmbH and Interflex Datensysteme GmbH will be in one hand: Bernhard Sommer will become the Chief Executive Officer of both companies, which belong to the Allegion Group.
Bernhard Sommer was the Managing Director of Somfy GmbH (Rottenburg) for over 20 years, and since 2013, he has been managing SimonsVoss Technologies GmbH (Unterföhring) together with Ludger Voss.
With his additional appointment as Managing Director of Interflex Datensysteme GmbH (Stuttgart), the parent company Allegion consolidates the management of the companies, both of which are very successful in different market segments with different system solutions within the access control sector.
Interflex Datensysteme GmbH develops integrated security concepts with access control, biometric recognition, offline solutions, video surveillance, and visitor management. The company is also successful with company-specific solutions for workforce management, including time management and personnel planning.
Since the premiere of the digital locking and access control system 3060 in 1998, SimonsVoss Technologies GmbH has established new electronic dimensions in the previously mechanically dominated locking technology in the German-speaking region. Today, the company is considered the European technology leader in digital locking and access control systems.
The new constellation of joint management will primarily benefit the customers of both companies. Strategy, investments, innovation development, market processing, and services can be better and faster coordinated at the decision-making level. The solution competence of both companies allows for the creation of synergies for specific customer requirements if needed. Operationally, both companies will continue to act independently in the market.
