Access control near the Arctic Circle

We deliver outstanding performance even under the harshest conditions. Our colleague Elias Schmitt demonstrated this impressively, with strong support from the software team led by Jasper Spelt, Marco Etzel, and Ilyas Rentzsch, during a service assignment in wintry Lapland. As a Hardware IT Consultant, he traveled to Arvidsjaur, Sweden - about 100 km south of the Arctic Circle. With freezing, stiff fingers, he upgraded around 20 access terminals (LAP800 W02 with heating) to Legic® Advant on-site.
The customer, an international automotive supplier, conducts on-site testing of various developments, including driver assistance systems, on both heated and icy test tracks.
In winter, to reach the test site from the town of Arvidsjaur, one must drive across Lake Arvidsjaur (Arvidsjaurjön), which freezes over with ice up to a meter thick. To prevent unauthorized use of this shortcut across the lake, access is secured with barriers. The Interflex access control system ensures that only authorized personnel can pass. At the same time, with support from the software team, the customer transitioned to the IF-6040 system.
