The Security Command Center: Comprehensive Overview of Building Security

The Security Command Center brings together all systems within your organization in one central interface, giving you both visibility and control. In addition to connecting subsystems such as video surveillance, intrusion and fire alarm systems, and building management technology, access terminals and security zones can also be visualized within a floor plan. This allows you to respond to potential threats quickly and in a focused manner.

Always in Control

Existing security devices such as access terminals or door contacts are linked to floor plan views of indoor and outdoor areas and displayed in the command center. This ensures that your security personnel are always informed about the current security status. In the event of an alert, the affected area can be located immediately. At the same time, visual or audible alarms can be triggered. Automated countermeasures such as activating cameras support the security team. The Security Command Center features a clear and intuitive user interface because only a system that is easy to operate allows for optimal response.

Quick reaction is essential and the Security Command Center makes this possible by enabling real time monitoring of events across systems. In advance, you can define with responsible parties and an action plan how to respond to specific alarms. These responses, along with the triggering event and all actions taken, are logged in accordance with your compliance guidelines.

Access Actions Dashboard

An added convenience is the new dashboard for access actions. Starting with version IF-6040 V13.1, access control actions known as widgets can be placed and executed directly from the new homepage within the Self Service interface as an Access Dashboard. Widgets can be dragged and dropped onto the dashboard, resized, and arranged as needed. They include functions such as event displays, reports, access actions, and direct links to application modules.

Reception staff, for example, can perform various actions directly from their workstation such as opening a gate for a delivery service, locking the parking garage, or granting access to an external visitor at a speed gate. Users can also jump directly to key modules via links, allowing them to quickly issue replacement badges, initiate evacuations, register or deregister visitors, assign access rights, or adjust assigned ID media for employees.

A personalized dashboard configuration meets the specific needs of staff, saves time, and increases efficiency by focusing on relevant functions and enabling intuitive operation.
