The air variant of the IF-900 series makes access decisions locally and uses smartphones or RFID media such as LEGIC® or MIFARE® for identification.

Flexibility and security with IF-900
The smart, wirelessly networked online terminals IF-900 DIN air and IF-900 W02 air are fully integrated into the central IF-6040 access control system – without any data cables. Access is granted via contactless personal identification using RFID media or smartphones (RFID/NFC or Bluetooth® Low Energy). The terminals communicate with the IF-6040 system via secure radio connections, receive current authorizations, and grant access only when all relevant criteria are met.
The terminals are connected to the IF-6040 system via the IF-4041 gateway and read digital keys via RFID media or smartphones using NFC or Bluetooth® Low Energy. Access rights are verified either online in the IF-6040 system or offline in the gateway or directly in the device. The multi-level security concept ensures reliable access decisions, regardless of whether the system is online or offline. In offline mode, the permanent authorization list and the self-learning access control list ensure access even in the event of connection disruptions.
