Interflex Celebrates 50 Years of Success
Over 500 employees from 8 countries celebrated Interflex’s 50th anniversary at a joint event in Europa-Park Rust. With workshops, team-building activities, and a gala evening, the anniversary celebration became an unforgettable experience.
Some events are so special, they remain etched in memory for a long time. The celebrations marking Interflex’s 50th company anniversary are certainly among them. Half a century of company history filled with innovation, team spirit, and shared success - this milestone was a fitting occasion to proudly and joyfully celebrate Interflex together.
After many highlights throughout this anniversary year—such as a press event at the production site in Durchhausen, wonderful customer testimonials and references, a successful Customer Solution Day our long-standing customer ZEISS,and much more - the multi-day team event at Europa-Park Rust formed the grand finale of the anniversary.
Kickoff: Arrival, Workshop, and Surprises
On the first day of the event, over 500 colleagues from 8 countries and 20 locations arrived—by coach, and some even by bicycle (over 100 km - an impressive achievement!). At the various themed hotels of Europa-Park, colleagues from the marketing and HR departments were already waiting to welcome guests at check-in. As a surprise and token of appreciation, a special Interflex-branded gift awaited each employee in their hotel room.
After this warm welcome, our colleagues enjoyed a relaxed dinner and reflected on 50 years of company history in creative workshops. These were visually documented by graphic recording artists.
A Day Full of Highlights: Workshop Results, Keynote Speakers, Roller Coasters, and a Glamorous Gala
The second day began with a historic moment: for the first time, all Interflex colleagues gathered at a single venue—the impressive “Europa-Park Dome.” Interflex CEO Bernhard Sommer welcomed the attendees and, together with Bart Michiels (Commercial Leader International), Frank Zimmermann (Head of Product Management and Marketing), and Martin Georgi (Commercial Leader Germany), presented the results of the previous evening’s workshops. The collaboratively developed content, visually captured by graphic recording artists on large poster boards, offered an impressive summary of the past decades.
The afternoon at Europa-Park was all about team-building. In high spirits and under radiant sunshine, employees strengthened their team spirit with thrilling roller coaster rides and shared unforgettable moments across the park’s vast grounds. Between looping adventures and other attractions, participants also helped shape Interflex’s future. Through an event app, they took part in a survey on relevant future topics.
For the festive finale in the evening, all guests gathered once again in the elegantly decorated Europa-Park Dome for the gala event. Alongside culinary delights and stunning dance and acrobatic performances, the results of the event app survey were presented. The keynote speech “Dare to Embrace the Future!” inspired listeners with themes of change, motivation, courage, and unity. Before everyone hit the dance floor to end the evening together, the HR department honored several employees for their outstanding achievements—creating the emotional highlight of the night.
Another highlight of the evening was a special exhibition in the “Dream Palace” of the Confertainment Center. Employees could admire a product gallery featuring exhibits from the past decades and experience Interflex’s impressive history up close.

This anniversary event showcased what truly defines Interflex: people who achieve great things every day with heart, energy, and passion. Whether long-standing employees or new colleagues—on these special days, everyone was united and proud to be part of this unique story.
