At Blickle, everything revolves around safety
Blickle Räder + Rollen secures its new building with Interflex: Modern access control and SAP-supported time recording ensure greater safety, flexibility, and efficient processes. The Opendor solution replaces physical keys and simplifies everyday work.

For Blickle Räder + Rollen, a global leader in the production of wheels and castors, safety has always been a core value – not only in its product range but also within its own operations.
With the construction of a new production and administration building at its headquarters in Rosenfeld, the company faced the challenge of implementing modern access control and time recording systems that meet the highest security standards while remaining efficient and user-friendly.
Blickle has relied on Interflex solutions since 2002. However, with the expansion of the site and the transition to SAP HCM, it became clear that the existing system needed to be more modern, flexible, and better integrated.
“For us, it was crucial that the solution works reliably, even if one system fails, and that badge management is digital and efficient,” explains Simon Schmid, HR administrator and key user for Interflex solutions at Blickle.
As part of a comprehensive security concept, the Interflex management platform IF-6040 was implemented and now serves as the central control system for all access authorizations. Employees record their working hours at Interflex terminals IF-5735, which act as SAP pre-processors. The data is automatically transferred to SAP HCM and directly integrated into payroll processing.“The SAP integration went smoothly and has become an indispensable part of our daily operations,” says project and HR manager Markus Raumann.
Access control at the Rosenfeld site combines wired online terminals IF-800 at high-traffic entrances with the innovative Opendor solution in the CARD version for designated interior areas. The battery-powered door handles IF-271 replace traditional mechanical keys and enable flexible, secure access management without complex wiring.
“Thanks to Opendor, we were able to drastically reduce the number of keys while increasing security,” Raumann emphasizes.
The solution adapts flexibly to the building’s architecture and blends seamlessly into the new facility’s design. Access points can be centrally monitored and quickly blocked if needed via the IF-6040 platform. Centralized management also simplifies the assignment and adjustment of access rights, for example during onboarding or internal transfers. This increases security and significantly reduces administrative effort.
“The overall project was complex, but thanks to close collaboration with Interflex, we were able to overcome all challenges,” Raumann concludes.
“The solution is stable, secure, and makes our daily work easier.” Simon Schmid also highlights the excellent service:
“From planning to commissioning, we always had a dedicated contact person – which made the project a coherent and successful experience.”
With its new access control and time recording solution, Blickle is well equipped for the future: secure, efficient, and flexible – just as a modern industrial company should be.
